気候変動と重要材料の危機に対する課題は、世界の政府に急速な対応を促している。産業供給チェーンと経済的繁栄を実現するためには、持続可能でレジリエントかつクリーンな解決策をもたらす先進材料（AdMats）に関する取り組みを推進する必要がある。世界各国では、人工知能、スマートオートメーション、高性能コンピューティングを活用したデジタル技術を通じて、従来の研究よりも迅速にグリーン転換を加速するための材料開発の手法開発、基盤開発が行われている。本論文では、MAPs（材料加速プラットフォーム）の課題、既存プロジェクト、構成要素についての広範な概要を提供し、最後に、残された課題とそれを克服するための対策を検討する。
