Alternative title: Nano-Structural Control and Principle Proposal for Thermal, Spin, and Optical Hybridized Advanced Magnetic Recording
Description:
(abstract)we review recent progress on advanced magnetic recording technologies based on the hybridization of thermal, spin, and optical effects. We focus on two emerging approaches: three-dimensional heat-assisted magnetic recording (3D-HAMR) and thermal spin-torque heat-assisted magnetic recording (TST-HAMR). In addition, we introduce time-resolved magneto-optical Kerr effect (TRMOKE) measurements using femtosecond laser pulses as a powerful tool for probing ultrafast magnetization dynamics in the recording media. These developments highlight that HDD research is no longer a mature and isolated field but rather a multidisciplinary frontier where ideas from magnetic materials science, spintronics, optics, and thermal physics converge.
