Description:

(abstract)

It is shown that, as in the case of block copolymerization in covalent polymer chemistry, the order of the polymerization of two monomers has a critical effect in the synthesis of 2D block copolymers of porphyrin-based monomers. In one of the orders of polymerization, secondary nucleation is involved, leading to nanosheets with uncontrolled areas and edge roughness.
