説明:
(abstract)Shock recovery experiments were performed using a single-stage propellant on single crystals 14 and powdered rutile to investigate the heating effects on the porosity of shock-induced 15 deformation microstructures. X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy analyses16 of the shocked single-crystal rutile revealed the occurrence of a high-density stacking fault in 17 the (101) plane. This defect suggests that the dominant slip system causing the plastic deformation of the crystal was {101}<1̅ 01> at lower temperatures, forming stacking defaults.
