Description:
(abstract)The influence of different wrought processes on the mechanical properties of AZ31
magnesium alloy was investigated in terms of the strain state induced during these
processes using a combination of finite element method (FEM) analysis and tensile
testing. A process with a large compressive strain develops an intensive basal texture,
leading to high strength and poor ductility.
