説明:
(abstract)Quantum Hall systems host quasiparticles demonstrating correlated electron physics and non- trivial quantum statistics. While physics of separate quasiparticles has been extensively explored, realizing quantum states of multiple quasiparticles remains challenging. Here, employing the approach of quantum Hall antidot with two different edge channels, we demonstrate localization and electrical tuning of individual quantum Hall excitons, which represent a quantum-coherent bound state of an electron and a hole situated on their corresponding edges and coupled through tunneling and Coulomb interaction. Quantum superposition of vacuum- and electron-hole pairing states is observed through the gate-dependent tunneling conductance of the antidot. A theoretical model is established which shows semi-quantitative agreement with experimental observations. This work opens avenues for creating quantum systems of multiple quantum Hall quasiparticles.
