## Description

- description: 'We investigate the 5d1 ordered double perovskite Sr2ZnReO6 using synchrotron
    x-ray diffraction, magnetic susceptibility, muon spin relaxation, and first-principles
    calculations. Sr2ZnReO6 adopts a low-temperature monoclinic P21/n structure and
    exhibits a magnetic transition near 12 to 13 K with ferromagnetic-like hysteresis
    and a very large coercive field (23 kOe at 2 K). Zero-field muSR reveals static,
    spatially disordered internal fields below the transition, while DFT and force-theorem
    Hubbard-I calculations identify a canted antiferromagnetic ground state. The strongly
    reduced effective moment (~0.76 microB) and tiny ordered moment (less than or
    about 0.2 microB) highlight the dominant role of spin-orbit coupling. Our results
    establish canted antiferromagnetism in Sr2ZnReO6 and show that an exceptionally
    large coercivity can coexist with an ultralow ordered moment in a 5d1 double perovskite. '
