- description: Linux PCを実験に使い始めて以降、ある会社のGPIBボードを導入し、また新しいプログラミング言語Rubyを使いはじめた。どちらのソフトウエアも日本人が開発したものであり、彼らの姿勢に惚れ込んだのが選んだ原因である。ある実験で両者を組み合わせる必要が生じたのだが、どちらもUNIX哲学に沿ったものであったお蔭で、無事目的を達成することができた。
