Description:

(abstract)

We have addressed and highlighted the importance of best experimental practices, measurement protocols, and performance evaluation methods for thermoelectric devices. We have summarized the key issues in TE device characterization and general practices to avoid the sources of errors in electrical output power and heat flow measurements, thereby estimating conversion efficiency. This paper sheds light on some of these issues related to TE device measurement and discusses & demonstrates the best practices to be followed in estimating and reporting the TE device performance.
