- description: 独自に開発した光応答材料を用いて細胞移動現象の解析に利用した研究例を2つ紹介する．1つ目の光応答性基板は光照射によって細胞・細胞集団を動的パターニングできる．細胞がパターニングされた基板を反転させて倒立した状態で細胞移動を誘導することで，細胞集団移動現象における重力ベクトルの影響を明らかにした．2つめの光応答ゲルにおいては，アゾベンゼンの光異性化反応に基づき，UV/VIS光に応じてゲルの弾性率が変化する．乳癌細胞が付着した足場ゲルの弾性率を瞬時に硬化させることで，細胞は基質の突然の弾性率変化に対して一過性の上皮間葉転換応答を示すことを見出した．
