## Title

Synthesis of Micitide 982, a Noncanonical Cyclic Peptide'

## Description

- description: In this study, we developed a facile synthetic method for constructing
a highly strained Tyr C6–to–Trp C5′ linkage. This approach enables the convergent
installation of diverse biaryl units into peptide linkers via electrochemically
assisted Ni-catalyzed cross-electrophile coupling, followed by regioselective
Larock macrocyclization. Using this methodology, we accomplished the total synthesis
of the ribosomally synthesized and post-translationally modified peptide (RiPP)
micitide 982. Moreover, this synthetic strategy provides broad flexibility, allowing
the incorporation of a wide variety of biaryl motifs.
