説明:
(abstract)Japan’s Green Growth Strategy positions hydrogen as a key energy carrier, targeting large-scale demand growth and cost reduction. Among hydrogen carriers, liquid hydrogen offers high volumetric efficiency but requires energy-intensive cryogenic cooling. Magnetic refrigeration based on the magnetocaloric effect can significantly improve liquefaction efficiency. This talk presents AMR-based hydrogen liquefaction developed under the JST Mirai Project, covering the world’s first AMR liquefaction experiment (POC1) and a permanent-magnet-based re-condensation system with newly developed magnets (POC2).
