## Title

- title: Alkyl‐π Liquids as Condensed‐State Singlet Oxygen Photosensitizers
  title_type: original

## Description

- description: Alkyl-π liquids are non-volatile single-component condensed-state functional
materials that generate singlet oxygen (1O2) at an alkyl-π liquid-water interface.
Chromophores can be incorporated into alkyl-π liquids that produce 1O2 and membrane
impregnated systems can be fabricated to generate 1O2 that migrates across a membrane-water
interface to destroy small organic molecules, demonstrating the potential for
    water decontamination.
