    Wから9.0 Wまで変化させた場合の強度依存性を調べた。尻尾を持つ空隙内に存在する光学的放電が周期的空孔を残すことがわかった。この尻尾は光学的放電がコア領域に強く閉じ込められることから生じる。別の周期的空孔生成モードが、ファイバヒューズ伝搬が可能な下限の注入強度付近で見つかった。この場合の光学的放電も、空孔生成周期の間に過渡的な尻尾を生成する。
