## Description

- description: We report the direct observation that optically generated spin-valley
polarization in a monolayer can be transferred between layers of 2D MoSe2-WSe2
heterostructures. Using nondegenerate optical circular dichroism spectroscopy,
we show that charge transfer between two monolayers conserves spins, which is
robust against twist angle between layers. Analyzing the line shapes of the circular
dichroism spectra reveals the formation of positively and negatively charged valley
excitons due to spin-valley transfer in WSe2 and MoSe2, respectively. This demonstrates
directional pumping of spin polarized carriers into individual layers, i.e. polarized
hole spins into WSe2 and electron spins into MoSe2.
